The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D is a high-performance gaming processor based on the Zen 5 architecture, which was previously known as Granite Ridge AM5. It is designed for enthusiasts, with 12 cores and 24 threads, a base frequency of 4.4 GHz, and a maximum boost rate of 5.5 GHz. The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D Processor is designed for gaming and multitasking, with a huge cache architecture with 960 KB of L1 cache, 12 MB of L2 cache, and an astonishing 128 MB of L3 cache. The device, built on TSMC’s 4nm FinFET process for the CPU cores and a 6nm FinFET technology for the I/O die, has great power efficiency and performance with a default TDP of 120W. The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D Processor enables overclocking via Precision Boost Overdrive, AMD EXPO memory overclocking, and Curve Optimizer voltage offsets, making it suitable for custom tweaking. The CPU socket is AM5 and works with the A620, X670E, X670, B650E, B650, X870E, X870, B840, and B850 chipsets. The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D Processor supports PCIe 5.0 and has 28 total native lanes, allowing for fast GPU and NVMe storage connectivity.
